Hold on before you start, download few of the top viral videos and check the following golden rules:

☞ What makes it look offbeat?
☞ And finally why people are crazy to share it?

The unique fact about viral videos is that they don’t need to look professional. Strangely enough, many of the top videos are created by very expensive videographers… to look home-made. Plan your videos before starting. Script the main scenes. Do it take several times till you are convinced that it is perfect.

Short is Super. Create 20 minutes of video if you want but then edit it back to 100 seconds. Use good video editing tools like Adobe Premiere, If the video is short, its file size is small meaning it’s easy to send/share across the web and mobile phones.

Predict where people will look for your videos and enter them in the right category. Its better if you you avoid crowded categories. Look at areas that others tend to ignore and focus on those.

Even if you have a reallly good video, its all about how you promote the video with a story spun around it by a series of promotional videos about the main video. People generally fall for stories use it to your advantage, but never cross the line.

The biggest weapon for you to promote your video is Socail Media and its all about using it effectively. Use Twitter and Facebook extensively to promote your videos and slowly it will go viral.
