1. Apple Pippin
Apple designed an affordable computer to play multimedia games and is manufactured by Bandai. It was released in 1995 where Sony Playstatoin, Nintendo and Sega Saturn dominated the market. Only 42, 000 units were only sold before they disappeared from the market.
2. Apple Lisa
Credit of producing first commercial PC with a mouse goes to Apple which released the same in 1983 under the brand name Lisa. The main reason for its failure is attributed to its high cost which was $9995 in those days.
3. Apple QuickTake
First consumer digital cameras were released by Apple in 1994 and were named as QuickTake. At the same time, legendary companies of photography – Nikon, Canon, Fujifilm and Kodak entered the digital photography. Since Apple was not renowned photography company, people didn’t pay much attention towards this product.
4. Apple eWorld
Apple released eWorld in partnership with AOL in 1994, which included the services like bulletin board system called community centre, news and email called email centre. Subscribers were called ePeople in this eWorld. Because of lack of high end marketing and high cost feature, it faced failure and the services were shut down in 1996.
5. Apple Newton
It is was the early stage of PDA market and has a substantial influence on the present day PDA and its market. It was released in 1993 and priced at $1000. It enabled users to send fax messages, send emails, make use of organizers and others. It was officially named as MessagePad.
